Profile
Stoke Caldwell's vast experience primarily includes representing professional race car drivers, teams, sponsors, agents and agencies, sanctioning bodies and other industry entities; representing sponsors in arrangements with NASCAR and other motorsports entities, MLB teams, NFL teams, NBA teams, professional soccer and golf; and assisting with arrangements in television, film and live entertainment.
Stoke helped spearhead the legal work for several major groundbreaking joint ventures in the NASCAR space, including the Gillett Evernham and Roush Fenway transactions. Having worked on transactions from all angles, he has a unique perspective and is able to provide insight regarding issues affecting all parties, along with market insight on industry terms.
Stoke's practice also includes the formation, purchase and sale of motorsports and other sports teams; all aspects of managing NASCAR Charter Member arrangements; event agreements; and servicing and other ventures between motorsports entities.
He is a frequent speaker on sports and entertainment law, including seminars for the NCBA, the Sports Lawyers Association, TRAC and the ABA Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries.

Represents multiple top past, current and/or Hall of Fame drivers and riders, including individuals such as: Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr., Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Ray Evernham, Danica Patrick, Marcos Ambrose, Ricky Carmichael, Dale Jarrett, Daniel Suarez, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Shane van Gisbergen, Marco Andretti, William Byron Jr., Kris Wright, Sam Mayer, William Sawalich and Ryan Truex, as well as various crew chiefs and others, with respect to their legal needs in various racing series.
Represents Richard Petty in various matters.
Represents NASCAR, IMSA and Trans Am racing teams, including Legacy M.C., Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing, Wood Brothers Racing, Action Express Racing, Silver Hare Racing, Allrem Racing, Trojan Motorsports, Scott Lagasse Racing and others, in connection with full array of contract and legal requirements.
Handled and handles acquisition and divestiture transactions for entities involved in the sports industry.
Organized MotoAmerica for motorcycle road racing in the United States and represents MotoAmerica in connection with major contractual and other matters.
Represented Roush Racing and created a joint venture with a major sports team to create Roush Fenway Racing. Represented Evernham Motorsports in connection with an investment by the Gillett family to create Richard Petty Motorsports.
Represents major national sponsor in connection with multiple major league sports sponsorship agreements.
Represents several personalities in television media contracts.
Represents several sports agencies (such as Fuel Sports Management/Pro-Sports Management, KHI Management, Bespoke and Signature Sports Group) in contractual matters, as well as contractual matters for their celebrity and athlete clients.
Represents several automobile racing sanctioning bodies, including CARS Tour and High Limit Racing.
