Profile
Glen Caplan represents cutting-edge technology companies nationwide across a broad array of industries, including software, e-commerce, ad-tech, clean-tech, health care IT, digital media, video gaming, consumer electronics and medical devices. His representation spans the entire life cycle of a company, often consulting with entrepreneurs at the idea stage and expanding to include the initial corporate formation, angel and venture capital financings, venture debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities laws compliance matters and general business consultation. Glen also represents both individual and institutional venture capital and private equity investors in connection with their direct equity investments.
Glen represented Spreedly in its $75 million growth equity financing from Spectrum Equity; Dude Solutions in its $100 million-plus Series A financing from Warburg Pincus; Automated Insights in its acquisition by STATS, LLC, a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company; and Cofounders Capital in a number of its portfolio company investments.
Glen was previously a partner with a boutique corporate law firm in Raleigh, North Carolina, and an associate with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California.
Glen serves on Robinson Bradshaw's board of directors.

Represented ServiceTrade, a provider of operations and software solutions for commercial contractors, in its growth equity investment from Frontier Growth.
Represented Spreedly, a provider of online payments technology solutions, in its $75 million growth equity investment from Spectrum Equity.
Represented ArchiveSocial, a provider of social media archiving solutions, in its $53 million growth equity investment from Level Equity.
Represented TransLoc, a provider of demand-response technology for city-owned microtransit solutions, in its acquisition by Ford Smart Mobility.

Represented First, a provider of artificial intelligence technology solutions to the real estate industry, in multiple rounds of equity funding and in its acquisition for an undisclosed amount to RE/Max.
Represented Farmwise Labs, a developer of artificial intelligence-powered autonomous farming robots in each round of equity funding from a number of investors, including Calibrate Ventures and Playground Ventures.
Represented Automated Insights, an artificial intelligence company, in its acquisition for an undisclosed amount by STATS, LLC (a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company).
Represented Validic, a developer of a digital mobile health platform, in each round of equity funding, including its $12.5 million Series B financing from a syndicate of investors including Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Greycroft Partners and SJF Ventures.
