Profile

Curtis Strubinger advises partnerships, corporations and individuals on the tax aspects of complex transactions. He focuses his practice on providing tax advice to private investment funds throughout their lifecycle, including fund formation, acquisitions and dispositions, financings, recapitalizations and management incentive equity. Curtis has significant experience working with founders and investors on Section 1202 qualified small business stock, stock options and other issues affecting startups. In addition to his core tax practice, Curtis assists entrepreneurs in forming joint ventures, and he maintains an active pro bono practice advising tax-exempt organizations.

Curtis received his law degree magna cum laude from Duke University School of Law, where he was a Mordecai Scholar. He received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in accountancy summa cum laude from the University of Missouri.
