Robinson Bradshaw served as lead counsel guiding client Fresenius Medical Care in its $2 billion acquisition of NxStage Medical Care, Inc. Fresenius is the world's leading provider of dialysis products and services, and NxStage is a leading medical-device company. The transaction closed Feb. 21, following regulatory review.

The Robinson Bradshaw M&A team included Kent McCready, Pat Bryant, Brian Litwak, Kelly Loving, John Garver, Sandra Wilburn, Bernard Funk, Megan Haynes and Ashley Durbin. The team received substantial assistance from health care attorneys Jennifer Hutchens and Kelly Koeninger, real estate attorney Andrew Miller, tax attorney Herman Spence and employee benefits attorney Carl Boehm.

The Robinson Bradshaw antitrust team that guided the transaction through review by the Federal Trade Commission included Greg Skidmore, Jonathan Eide, Kevin Crandall, Nathan Chase and Alexis Iffert.
