Robinson Bradshaw presented oral argument on behalf of a federal prisoner who is seeking access to the Federal Register, the government publication that contains information about proposed federal regulations. Before a panel of Seventh Circuit judges, H. Hunter Bruton argued that the U.S. Bureau of Prisons is violating the First Amendment by failing to make the electronic version of the Federal Register available to the plaintiff.

Media coverage of the argument can be found here.

Bruton was appointed by the Seventh Circuit to serve as pro bono counsel for the plaintiff. Erik R. Zimmerman, Garrett A. Steadman and Zachary A. Johnson also represent the plaintiff, assisted by Andrea M. Blosser.
