Profile

Mike Hozik practices in the areas of investment management, fund formation and general corporate law. Mike represents corporate clients and fund sponsors in private and public offerings, fund governance and acquisitions. He also advises clients on U.S. securities law, commercial contracts and transactional matters.

Mike draws upon his experience structuring and operating alternative investment vehicles, in both the private and public space, to develop business-focused solutions for his clients. As a CFA charterholder and former in-house attorney for a global asset manager, Mike holds a unique commercial perspective that enhances understanding and collaboration with asset managers, investors, finance professionals, business owners and attorneys.

Prior to joining Robinson Bradshaw, Mike was assistant general counsel and senior vice president at FS Investments, a global alternative asset manager. Before that, he was an attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in Washington, D.C., in the private equity funds group.

Before entering the legal field, Mike served in the U.S. Air Force. He is not yet admitted to practice in North Carolina.
