Bret Buckler is a corporate attorney with a focus on intellectual property matters. His experience includes technology and commercial transactions, patent and trademark licensing, software-as-a-service agreements and other general service agreements. Bret counsels clients on IP and technology issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and other corporate transactions. He also has ample experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, machine-learning and blockchain technologies. Bret’s experience also includes conducting patent landscape investigations to assess competitive technology environments and providing strategic guidance on IP protection for innovations in the medical device and electronic appliance sectors.

Prior to joining Robinson Bradshaw, Bret was an attorney with Moore & Van Allen in Charlotte.
