Robinson Bradshaw provided pro bono representation to Men's Shelter of Charlotte during its recent merger with the city's Urban Ministry Center. The two nonprofits will combine resources and efforts to continue their shared mission of ending homelessness in the Charlotte community. While the legal merger is complete, the integration of the two organizations will happen in stages throughout the year, including a unified rebranding later in the fall.
Ty Shaffer and Matt Efird represented the Men's Shelter in the transaction. The firm has a rich history of pro bono involvement with the Men's Shelter, including real estate counsel by Brent Torstrick. Torstrick received the William Thorp Pro Bono Service Award earlier this year due in part to his work with the Shelter.
