Profile

James Ennis Street earned his law degree cum laude from the Duke University School of Law. He served as executive editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law and as content editor of the Duke Law & Technology Review. James received his bachelor's degree with honors in public policy and interdisciplinary studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In both law school and undergrad, James partnered with school leaders in navigating complex, sensitive questions, including issues arising around state legislation, racial reconciliation and student government structure. Among other leadership positions, James founded the Native American Law Students Association at Duke Law.

Prior to law school, James served as a legal fellow and paralegal for Muslim Advocates, a national civil rights organization in Washington, D.C. He is proficient in Spanish.
