March 24, 2020

In celebration of Women's History Month, Robinson Bradshaw is highlighting women from the firm throughout March. Meet Chantal Sheaffer, director of marketing and business development.

Describe what you do at Robinson Bradshaw.

As director of marketing and business development, I lead the marketing, external communications and business development efforts of the firm. I help define and communicate the firm's brand and strategic messaging, which is reflected on our website and in our advertising. I also oversee media relations and work with attorneys and practice groups to develop and maximize business development opportunities.

What do you most enjoy about your job?

My talented team – everyone works hard and supports one another.

What advice do you have for other women in the workplace?

I believe "empowered women empower women," and I try to uphold that tenet.

Who is your female role model and why?

RBG and my mom. Both are independent, strong women who aren't afraid to speak their minds.

Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t learn from your website bio.

I traveled around the world by age 3, and my first flight was when we moved to Hong Kong when I was 8 weeks old.

Many people are working from home now. What is your best tip for working from home or home office "hack"?

My 4-year-old twins stopped taking naps in the fall, so I’ve found enforced "quiet time" a godsend. As a bonus, quiet time often turns into nap time!
