Robinson Bradshaw Featured as a Law Firm “Doing DEI Right”
PDFRobinson Bradshaw was featured as one of five Eastern U.S. law firms that “do DEI right” in a recent article from The Diversity Movement. The article showcases “innovative” law firms that are leading the charge in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion within the legal industry.
“We are committed to trying to provide the best service that we can to our clients. And that means, if we’re trying to solve a client’s problem, we want to bring in a wide range of experiences and backgrounds to weigh in on any particular legal issue. We’re better together,” Robinson Bradshaw attorney and director Angelique Vincent-Hamacher said in the article. Vincent-Hamacher is also co-chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
The article highlights Robinson Bradshaw’s recent recognition by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, the firm’s Diversity Fellowship program and its affinity groups as three examples of Robinson Bradshaw’s ongoing commitment to building a more diverse firm and legal profession. Although not mentioned in the article, Robinson Bradshaw is also actively pursuing certification under the Mansfield Rule, a national initiative designed to boost the representation of historically underrepresented lawyers in law firm leadership.
“We take a long view in terms of the folks we hire as first-year associates. We hire folks with the expectation that they’re going to stay, and hope that they’re going to stay at the firm for their entire career,” Vincent-Hamacher said. “It’s a real, personal and professional investment that we make in our lawyers because we fully expect that they’re going to be our partners.”
