Kate Maynard Named to 50 Most Influential Women List
PDFRobinson Bradshaw attorney Kate Gordon Maynard was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly and The Mecklenburg Times. The awards recognize the important roles women play in the greater Charlotte region's economy and society. Honorees are selected for their professional achievements, community involvement and records of leadership.
As Robinson Bradshaw’s general counsel, Maynard advises the firm on legal issues including ethics and professional responsibility, conflicts of interest, risk management and compliance, and privacy and cybersecurity. She is also a member of Robinson Bradshaw’s business development; diversity, equity and inclusion; and pro bono committees.
In the broader community, Maynard played an integral role in the recent creation of CLIMB, or Charlotte Legal Initiative to Mobilize Businesses. Founded by Robinson Bradshaw and other local law firms, CLIMB provides pro bono business law services to historically underrepresented entrepreneurs and small business owners of limited means through a network of volunteer lawyers from Charlotte law firms. Along with helping to establish the organization, Maynard continues to serve as a board member. Maynard also serves on the board of directors for the Levine Museum of the New South, has served in various leadership roles at Myers Park United Methodist Church, and has dedicated time to several youth-focused organizations including Boy Scouts and Odyssey of the Mind.
