The Charlotte Business Journal named Robinson Bradshaw’s Angie Vincent and Megan Belote to its Power 100 list for diversity, equity and inclusion. The list seeks to honor professionals who are leading change and setting the agenda for DEI progress in the Charlotte region.

Vincent is a member of Robinson Bradshaw’s board of directors and co-chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, in addition to her robust practice as an employment lawyer and mediator. Through her leadership positions, Vincent is able to drive a myriad of internal initiatives to keep DEI at the forefront of the firm. Vincent also chairs the Atrium Health board of commissioners and is a member of the Advocate Health board of directors, both of which allow her to promote the health systems’ goals of advancing health equity in the community.

Vincent shared with the Charlotte Business Journal that she encourages the uniqueness of each individual by “always being my authentic self and encouraging others to be their authentic selves at all times – and giving them the space to do so. Authenticity breeds authenticity. If people feel accepted, they are more likely to be accepting of others. If people feel honored, they are more likely to honor others.”

As the associate director of diversity, equity and inclusion, Belote is responsible for developing, implementing and promoting the firm’s DEI strategy, and collaborating with firm leadership to coordinate and facilitate initiatives and programming. She also manages the firm’s Mansfield Rule certification process.

In discussing Robinson Bradshaw’s dedication to DEI, Belote said, “Our commitment recognizes DEI work doesn’t necessarily have a finish line. Working toward building a more diverse, equitable and inclusive company is a journey, and a commitment to these efforts signals to employees that we all play an important role in advancing DEI in our respective organizations.”

Belote also shared, “I’m proud to work at a law firm that embraces … differences and takes steps to create and sustain a diverse workplace.”
