Robinson Bradshaw attorney Blaine Sanders was featured in the North Carolina Bar Association’s “Pro Bono Spotlight” for his commitment to pro bono work and his leadership in facilitating opportunities for others to do the same. Sanders’ pro bono work includes landlord/tenant matters, expungement cases and work on behalf of nonprofits.
He serves as outside general counsel to Alexander Youth Network, supporting the organization in taking care of children with serious emotional and behavioral problems who come from low-income families. As noted in the article, “Sanders handles all the organization’s legal work, including contract, regulatory, employment, litigation and real estate issues for over 400 employees providing Medicaid and community-based services to thousands of children across the state.”
Sanders is also Robinson Bradshaw’s director of pro bono services. He recruits lawyers of all experience levels, pairing them with pro bono opportunities that address many different needs in our community. This includes working with CLIMB, the pro bono clinic that Robinson Bradshaw recently established with another local law firm to provide business law services to Charlotte’s low-income businesses and entrepreneurs.
“A little legal help goes a long way,” Sanders said.
