Andrea M. Blosser, a litigation paralegal at Robinson Bradshaw, received the Outstanding Paralegal Pro Bono Service Award at the North Carolina Bar Association’s annual meeting last week in Charlotte. The honor recognizes a paralegal who “volunteered a substantial amount of time in pro bono legal service to increase access to justice on behalf of persons of limited means and/or charitable groups or organizations.” Blosser is just the third recipient of the award.

Blosser donated more than 270 hours of pro bono service in 2023 to 12 different matters. Blosser served as part of a trial team for a racial harassment case that secured a favorable verdict and settlement for the firm’s client, and she assists in representing a federal prisoner bringing a First Amendment challenge against the prison system. Blosser is also involved with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases to protect abused or neglected immigrant children, among other projects.
