Adam Doerr Discusses Specialization Trend in NCLW
PDFA recent North Carolina Lawyers Weekly article delved into the question of whether it is prudent for young lawyers and law students to specialize their practice. As co-chair of Robinson Bradshaw's Recruiting Committee, attorney Adam Doerr shared his thoughts.
"Specializations are more or less in demand at different times," Doerr said. "If you pick a good specialization early, it can be very valuable, but if you choose to specialize and the economy changes, it can put you in a tough position."
For that reason, Doerr emphasized the importance of fostering "skills that will serve you well even if the market changes."
