Robinson Bradshaw's Employment & Labor Practice Group hosted an afternoon of CLE and HRCI credit, offering the following programs:
- Doing DEI the Right Way: Advancing Diversity while Avoiding Discrimination
As employers throughout the country embrace DEI goals and develop DEI programs with energy and passion, it’s important not to lose sight of the continuing commands of federal and state anti-discrimination laws. Robinson Bradshaw attorneys Stephen Cox, Angie Vincent and Laura Johnson talked about ways to further DEI initiatives and manage employee affinity groups while minimizing potential liability. They also discussed the importance of maintaining appropriate legal oversight over DEI programs and of periodically reviewing those programs to manage and mitigate risk. - Navigating Noncompetes: Protecting Your Assets in an Age of Bans
Robinson Bradshaw attorneys Doug Jarrell and Travis Hinman discussed recent developments in the law concerning restrictive covenants as well as practical ways that employers can protect their confidential information and customer relationships in an environment where noncompete agreements are falling out of favor.
Two hours of North Carolina CLE credit and two hours of HRCI credit were approved.
