Leading from the Top: Advancing Health Equity in the Boardroom

Angie Vincent-Hamacher participated on a panel at the Black Directors Health Equity Agenda's 2022 National Summit, "Promises to Keep: Health Equity Now!" Vincent-Hamacher is chair of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority board of commissioners and a board member of Atrium Health.

Whether an organization is unengaged in health equity, struggling to improve or in the vanguard of change, competing priorities are a constant challenge. In this session, Vincent-Hamacher and other health care directors shared their strategies for timely, productive board discussions that recognized the impact of disparities, address them across committees and deploy measures that hold leaders accountable.
