Emily Schultz co-presented a CLE seminar hosted by the Pauli Murray LGBTQ+ Bar Association. The CLE provided an overview of pending litigation in North Carolina regarding extending access to domestic violence protective orders (DVPOs) to same-sex dating couples — a category of North Carolinians who are denied this protection under state law — and addressed best practices for representing LGBTQ+ clients in the domestic violence context.
