The North Carolina Appellate Pro Bono Program is a new initiative aimed at assistanting litigants attempting to file pro se appeals in the state's courts. The program is a collaboration between the Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Bar Association Appellate Practice Section and the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center.
Robinson Bradshaw attorney Mark Hiller is co-chair of the Appellate Section's Pro Bono Committee, and he co-led a session at this CLE intended for training volunteers for the program. His seminar covered what to do and not to do in an oral argument.
