2017 Intellectual Property and Sports Entertainment Law Joint Annual Meeting

Lani Barnes Baxter hosted a session at the North Carolina Bar Association's 2017 Intellectual Property and Sports Entertainment Law Joint Annual Meeting. Her program, "The Slants Recap," covered the constitutionality question of the Slants case and discussed developments in Lee v. Tam. Attendees also learned about a recent question presented to the U.S. Supreme Court: whether the disparagement provision of the Lanham Act is facially invalid under the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment.
